Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood situated in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" location. People who don't understand the name mistakenly believe that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually it is this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on the West Island, although this isn't the truth. Brugel grew up in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. Her early ambition was to become a dancer, however a rapid growth rate led to her growing beyond her dance partner. She admitted in an article published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. As I got bigger than my male partners, I quit. The Brugel is one of the former dancers that turned to acting. Her high school teacher school was the one who pushed her in the right direction. Her teacher invited her to try out for roles in a school production. She was the teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the school's annual production. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, her work has been featured on both the large and small screen. She gained the most attention when she won her part as Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel is the sole Canadian of the season 1 cast of the show as well as appearing only on occasion, was the only Canadian.
